Visiting INRAE PhD students

Each year, INRAE welcomes PhD students from all over the world. They come to the institute to collaborate on research projects, give seminars, participate in training courses, teach students, and much more.

Their visits may be short or long, ranging from a few days to several months to as long as 5 years (i.e., 3-year doctoral thesis, with a maximum of two 1-year renewals). International PhD students coming to INRAE must either be employed by another institution or have some form of doctoral funding to support them during their stay. In this section, we discuss what you need to know regarding research contracts, insurance requirements, and visa applications.
